Rob and Magrit were the hosts of the annual Pork Chop supper. The pork chops were delicious along with all of the salads and desserts provided by the members. Magrit is pictured with one of the napkins which she made for the club members as part of the social committee's effort to go green. Commodore Gerry Culliton chaired the Annual General Meeting on Sunday August 24. The next club event is the dock pull on Sunday, September 28. This year's recipients of the Peter Case Awards are Christina Dillow for the outstanding job she, husband Mike and their crew did in preparing the fish fry and Corinne Rosch for her excellent attention to the washroom facilities. Thanks also to Corinne for the beautiful wall hanging that she made as a door prize for the club supper. (See photo on photobucket link) Thurman Reynolds announced that he is stepping down as Grounds Chair. Many thanks to Thurman for a job well done. We are looking for a member to fill this position. Please help out if you can. The Wildwood Sailing Club wishes to extend a huge thank you to the Hyatt family for 27 years of grooming the grounds at the sailing club. Shane Hyatt first took on the job as a teenager, and his dad Ian, took over when Shane went away to college. The grounds at the club have always been beautifully maintained and it it going to be very difficult to find a replacement who takes such personal pride in a job well done. Ian and Helen are lifetime members of WSC and we hope to see them at the club frequently. We also wish them all the best as they take more time to enjoy their cottage in the Haliburtons. A thank you is also extended to Pam Mulholland for contributing so much of the web content this year.
