Wildwood Sailing Club
The Annual Club Breakfast had a surprise visitor last Sunday, snow! But club members were not deterred by the chilly weather. About 34 people bundled up in toques, winter coats, gloves and warm boots to enjoy the great breakfast prepared by Margrit and members of the Social Committee.
We enjoyed our fill of scrambled eggs, sausage and steaming hot coffee along with cakes, muffins, fruit salads and cheese.
The Club Breakfast is an annual event each May. If you missed it this year, be sure and circle the date on your calendar next year. It's an opportunity to come out and say hello to other members of the club, their families and friends. But remember, the breakfast is held rain or shine.......or snow!
Thanks to Rob Johnson and his crew, the remaining docks and slips have been installed in addition to the dock at the boat launch. A number of enthusiastic club members have already launched their boats and started their sailing season!
With boat launching now being the main concern, there are several boats in the storage area blocking access for some members who are attempting to get their own boats into the water. Those who have boats and trailers parked in the way of others must move their equipment out of the way. All boat owners should know where their boats are parked, or stored, and get at it as soon as possible. It is not fair to our members to block access to their boats.
If your boat and/or trailer is blocking others, please get out to the club as soon as possible and move your equipment. Look at your schedule and find some time to get this completed for the benefit of those who wish to get out sailing.
Your cooperation would be very much appreciated.
