There are two significant changes for the start of the 2026 season:

1. Applications for 2026 Membership will be by means of a Google Form. Existing members will be sent an email providing a link to a pre-filled form to complete and submit. Once submitted members will receive an email confirming the amount to pay and providing waivers to sign. New members will use the same form from a website link.

2. In 2026 all members will be invited to vote for new Articles and By-Laws to bring the club in line with Not For Profit Corporation Legislation. Once membership dues are paid you will be sent a copy of the new by-laws and a vote to adopt will be taken at Dock Put In day in April

Members are reminded that 26th April is Dock Put In Day for the 2025 sailing season. All members are required to attend, though you may apply for exemption in line with the provisions set out in the club rules. The forecast is reasonable for the time of year, though windy and cool so wrap up well. Refreshments and lunch are provided. Please see the Commodore’s email for more details or contact me if you have not received it.

Sadly we have received news of the passing, at 101 years old, of our oldest member Ted Thomas who was active at the club until recently. He was a machinist by trade and worked at TB Woods until his retirement.

Upon retirement in 1989 he bought a sailboat and joined the Wildwood Sailing Club where he thoroughly enjoyed so many years sailing, racing and his friendships. You can read Ted’s full obituary here. A celebration of his life will take place at the Reception Centre of the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, March 29, from 2-5 p.m. Thanks to Les for the pictures below .

The 2025 Membership application form and waivers are now available here. You can apply for membership now, though existing members will receive an email with a pre-populated form within the next two weeks.

Happy New Year to members! The racing dates for the 2025 have been added to the website here so get them in your calendar! These dates will be ratified at the Spring General meeting and if there are any changes members will be alerted by email.
