On August the 21st, following the Fun Rally, club members held the traditional August Club Supper and also took the opportunity to pay tribute to Peter Case, longtime member of the Wildwood Sailing Club. During his 28 year association with the club Peter was recognized for his many contributions to the club in addition to his love of sailing. Along with a number of past club members, Peter's daughter Pam and his son Michael were invited to be guests of the club for the supper and for the unveiling of the plaque which has been mounted inside the pavilion. Commodore Rob Johnson introduced the special guests and invited Margrit Johnson to read a short tribute from past member, Pam Mulholland. Mark Rohfriesch also spoke about his memories and admiration for Peter Case, on behalf of the club. Following the remarks, Pam and Michael unveiled the plaque for all to see and shared their own thoughts about their father and his enduring relationship with sailing and the club! Three club members were awarded the Peter Case Award for their contributions to Wildwood Sailing Club this year. Pam and Michael presented awards to Hans Rosch, Jim Phillips and Leslie Catling. Hans received his award for his leadership on the Shed Project. Jim received his for Lifetime Achievement. And Leslie received her award for her work on updating the club website.
